Is 8 GByte even possible ..??
Not counting that I haven't even seen a 2048 MB 72-SIMM..

A 72-pin SIMM can maximum take 2048 MByte.

32 bits, 14 row + 14 col, 2x sets.

Nope, 4GB is as far as you can go with a 32-bit processor (2^32 bytes), and that will be reduced by all the peripherals etc. that also need some of the 32-bit address space. Hence the current trend for 64-bit processors in the mainstream computer world - modern OSes and applications are at the stage where they need more than the 3.5GB that a typical 32-bit system can handle...
