The ASX ate my money. I don't have two bob to spare at this point. If Rudd's spending spree brings happiness then maybe I'll consider getting one...

Although I'd still prefer the board to be sold at a realistic price by ACube,,,

The starting price might seem high, however, if you look at how much the total package would cost you to buy from AmigaKit or anywhere else, it far surpasses what's listed. If I had the money, I'd flat out get this. It'd save me like $400-500.

I was just being sarcastic...

It may very well be a good deal... But unless it starts at a $1 I doubt you would see much bidding until the very, very end with a starting price like that.

so why not just buy a PC at the same price and emulate them or run Amithlon or something like that?
I guess I just don't see why you would want to spend so much on something that doesn't really support the Amiga software

The £600 starting price is way too steep, that's why there are no bids. You should remove at least one zero from it to get people interested. And in all fairness you should look at what price the Pegasos2 G4's are sold at (which is just as capable of running OS4 as the Sam is but has enough power to run circles around it) and realisticly *not* expecting to get a price that high. Again - try reducing the price and watch the bidders come!)

£600 is £14.98 less than it costs to buy Sam440ep board and OS4.1 today, so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect little bit more for a complete system.

P.S.

Last year I sold an A1XE G4 for around £1000.

Anyone prepared to spend £600 for this would not be concerned over the £15 extra to get all NEW stuff.

Face it, the second you buy something, the resale value takes a dive.
