« on: February 13, 2009, 06:34:58 PM »

For Sale : Huge Amiga Collection for Sale... IN IOWA
After 20 years of collecting Amiga hardware & software...
I have to give up the ball...

Pictures will be sent to anyone who is serious about
picking it up and paying !!!

A life time of collecting Hardware & Amiga software
is coming to an end for me...
Maybe starting new for you...

I have so much Amiga gear in various forms, I have spent a small fortune over the years on my collection, and in the last few years...
I have collected so much stuff It actually occupies a
small room "IN THE HOUSE" all by itself...

I want to sell off my Amiga gear to someone who is as much of a fan of Amiga has I have been, and still am..

I have Lost my job currently, and my family is in need of money now...

I have so much stuff there's no way I can ship all of this collection of Amiga gear...

I have over a dozen Amiga computer systems in my collection...
2 original Amiga-1200's with accelerator cards...
(( GREAT COND ))
5 Amiga 500's (( GREAT COND ))
5 Amiga 2000's (( GOOD COND parted out to make them into towers))
1 Amiga 1000 (( GREAT COND ))
3 Amiga Computer Monitors.. (( GREAT COND )) (note I have been using a SVGA monitor/Adapters I have )
(( All working or ( Only the 2000's are parted out but all of the 2000's parts are there for
the 2000's to work...

All Computers Fire fine I WAS GETTING READY TO PUT ALL THE 2000's IN TOWERS))

I have Over 3000 Disks/CD Rom's & books and manuals both Games Utilities..Estimate Prob a ton more...

Tons of peripheral, Mice/Power supply's/printers/cords/cables/misc Amiga novelty gear...HD's ..tons.. of hard drives...Cd Roms dvd's Drives and various Amiga hardware... Roms/Switchers/Memory/ Etc... SVGA to vga adapters to run Amiga's on a flat screen.. Tons and tons of separate video/audio/modem/ram/accelerator cards for Amiga 2000's

So as you can imagine collecting all of this gear has added up I bet I have spent over 5k hands down on all of this gear.. But we all know how that goes blah blah blah blah..

So my heartache and loss your rediscovery and find..

If I dont sell them soon I will have to slowly put all of this on Ebay.. A real pain in the rear...

Let me know if your willing to take it all.. Will fill up a pickup truck's back really well.. Little room left over.. i guarantee..

Asking $1000.00 firm you take it all...

I'll admit I'm not really totally serious (though I did look to see how far away you were - 6 hours.  Not too bad ;)) but I'm thinking pictures would really help your cause here.  Maybe just a general picture overview of everything?

Damn, sorry to hear about your bad luck and I hope things improve soon.

If you were in Iowa Louisiana (about 12 miles down the road) then I'd take it from you, unfortunately you're the other side of the USA and I'm in Brazil until March.

I'm sure you'll find a buyer soon.  Good luck.

Hi! Are you replying publicly to a PM *I* sent asking about the insides of some of your machines? Accelerators, sound & video cards, etc.? I'm 5 hours away from you and yes, I'm in Iowa all the time picking up coin operated pinball machines. Ames, Clinton, Des Moines, Norwalk & Dubuque are frequent stops for me.

A general overall pic is not going to be of any use. A few pics maybe showcasing lots would be nice. Details of what exactly are in your machines would be appropriate as are pics of any cosmetic defects (IE: yellowing on the cases and keyboards, etc.)

I don't need to see a stack of A2000 mobo's resting up against a wall. Just would like to know the particulars of the peripherals. Please PM!

@save2600

At the bottom of his post he lists an EMail address and a phone number.  Nowhere does it say "contact me by private message".  Maybe you should try emailing him.

E-mail & PM sent  :-)    gmail is like Hotmail in that, half the time - people claim they never received your message or it goes into a junk bin, which never gets read.

Look on the bright side.  In 10 years time you'll be earning mega-bucks and you'll be collecting Retro quad-core PCs and stunning your friends by demonstrating how you can surf the Galacticnet on a machine that only has a tiny 4GB of RAM and manages to fit the whole OS and software on a 1TB drive!

Hi Joe!

Sad to hear this kind to situation: I really understand the problem, since next April will be my turn to loose my work :-(
Well..... Don't think about, now and go on!!!!
Good luck, man!!
.....Question: what is the item in photo number 4?!?
Maybe a Zorro connector for A500?!?!?

If it is so, I have a proposal for you!!!! Let me know, pls! I need this kind of stuff for my A500 mod ;-)
All things are doable in a better way, even those well done.
One can figure out the others......

This is one I'm going to need to talk over with 'da wife'. I've gone to semi-serious now ;).  I just don't know if there's a car I can fit all of this into!

Over 20 years of original owner and ebay and yard sales and buy outs from former Amigan's has brought me all these items..

Being an old school Amigan I was only into classic equipment as you can see by the pics..

I dont really want to sell individually because I need the cash for mortage/bills/food until I can find a job... Fast...

Anyway if nothing else I gues I will have to sell the better items on ebay one by one.. Gawd that will take forever..

I have of (( 2 seperate )) the latest scan doublers I was working on last with
Roy the Amiga Scan Doubler GOD..... They allowed me to run flat screen monitors or any or all svga monitors out there with my Amigas... Worked on all the machines 500/1200 2000's etc.. They are not find to hard the seem impossible to find now a days..  (( Bunch of rom switchers )) Big heavy duty power supplies and to much stuff to mention..

WILL TAKE A PICK UP HOPEFULLY WITH A TOPPER TO GET HOME...

$1000 or best offer takes all... Will take 30 mins just to load the truck..
