Amiga Marketplace This forum is here so that members can alert other members to Amiga items they've seen on eBay (or other auctions). If you are selling Amiga items on eBay, you might let us know about them here. Likewise, if you're selling Amiga items sans eBay, this is the "for sale" forum.

Default WTB: some way to add RAM to 4000

I've got an A4000 I want to build out into a good system. I've got most of what I need other than network and a decent amount of memory. I know where to get a network card, but I need a way to expand the RAM. I'll consider any of:

* Zorro III SCSI card with SIMM sockets
* a new CPU card with SIMM sockets (I've got a 3640 now)
* Zorro III RAM card

I'd like something that can handle at least 64MB, but I've got a big bag of old 72 and 30 pin SIMMs so I'll put on as much as I can.

If you've got anything that fits the bill, let me know what it is and what you want for it.

I have a Fastlane Z3 here. With the card you can add up to 64 MB with 30 pin SIMMs.

Go for an accelerator, it gives you both speed and memory. I've had an Apollo 4040 which was quite a bit more useful than the standard 3640, though the SCSI is a bit sucky. If you can afford it, go for a Cyberstorm (I've got a MkIII which is the best thing you can get for the A4000 IMHO).

Yeah I've heard of lots of the options... just not where to get any of them, other than wait for one to show up on ebay. Been checking periodically but havent had much luck.

Have a look on amibay as well. Red had a DKB3128 for sale on his eBay store.

Not to mention a SCSI II interface.
