« on: November 22, 2008, 05:48:26 PM »
Only 6 hours left! The RAM alone is worth $140.00 at current prices (Two of the SIMMs are new - from Software Hut)
This is a good card - pulled from working A2000!
A2000 GVP 40MHz \'030, 21Mb RAM SD/FF, 2 floppies, internal CD-ROM drive, micromys v3 w/laser mouse
A1000 Microbotics Starboard II w/2Mb 1080, & external floppy (AIRdrive)

Nice card.  I have a GVP 68030 with SCSI and 8MB of RAM in my A2000.  It's a great upgrade for someone who wants to make a kick-ass A2000.
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

Even nicer would be a GVP 68060 Tekmagic (yes we still have another one!).  :-P
Of course it costs more but then you get more (128MB RAM, 68060 processor, superscalar cpu, 3-4 times faster than 68040). ;-)

This 040 card is an excellent card for the money. Although I only have 16Mb on it, it can take up to 64Mb if the 16Mb SIMMs are used. Obviously not as fast as an 060 card, it still makes for a very powerful A2000!
The A2000 this came out of had a GVP Spectrum video card and a 2091 W/v7 ROMs, Sony CD re-writer, 3Gb worth of hard drives, and an EZ-135 removable hard drives...... it was a very stable system.

Just to clarify, the GForce040 uses only GVP Simm RAM (4mb or 16mb increments), while Tekmagic060 can take standard non-gvp RAM.  I would not recommend using standard simm ram.  Certainly, GVP040 is a great card compared to 68030 card, and for the money ($100-200 range) its worth it.  Tekmagic goes for different $ and is different ball game.  I wasn't trying to take anything away from gforce040 (i used to own it before gforce060, and for years was very happy with it.). :-D
i can also provide latest firmware if your winning bidder is interested.
