SCSI hard drive for Warp Engine. Will these work?
« on: August 21, 2008, 10:08:05 PM »
Following the advice of people on here in another thread I'm going for a SCSI hard drive to connect up to my Warp Engine. Can someone please confirm if these drives will work if I get a 50 to 68 pin connvertor?

Any help is much appreciated as I'm clueless on SCSI stuff having never used it before.

confirmed. they will work with a 50 to 68 pin adapter. Not sure if you will get the full capacity of the drives though...

I think you should be ok with 3.9 for drives up to 127Gb...If I'm wrong someone will correct me, for sure ;-)

Thanks.

Does this adaptor just plug into the hard drive and then the 50 pin ribbon cable from the warp engine into it?

Thanks again.

You are wrong; the 127 GB limit is a limitation of the onboard IDE controller of the A600, 1200 and 4000. With SCSI you don't have these limitations, so the full capacity will be available for use.

Nope, it won't help you. You need a 68 pin male with a 50 pin male.
