Hello world! :-)
I have got the urge to put my old A1200 om my desk again. Just to play some old game and.. BUT, I also like to access my home LAN. I have loads of old PCMCIA cards lying around. Is it possible to use them with my Amiga or do I have to buy a specially made AmigaPCMCIA-card? Many thanks to all out there who still contribute to the Amigacommunity!! |

Get cnet.device from Aminet and check if you have one of the listed cards. Then get Miami or AmiTCP or Genesis and configure the TCP/IP network. Get Samba to let PCs access your Amiga's drives, get SMB-Handler or SMB-Connect or smbfs to access your PC's drives from the Amiga. Samba needs lots of CPU power, without a 68060 you should not try it. http://uk.aminet.net/aminetbin/find?cnetdevice Bye, Thomas |

I use Samba on 040/25 and get good transfers. The main CPU leech is the PCMCIA card itself. The second biggest CPU leech is Miami.
