Default TimeFixer - software for "battclock" Amigas without battery

If your Amiga has a working battclock without battery, the system detects the illegal state of the clockchip
and uses the datestamp of actual bootpartiton you are starting from.
On every bootsequence the TimeFixer is comparing your battclock with the saved datestamp.
If these dates are equal, the TimeFixer is executing the Time-Preference.
If the compared dates are different TimeFixer is doing nothing, because the system found a valid date inside the clockregister.

Default Re: TimeFixer - software for "battclock" Amigas without battery

Well, a few months ago I noticed the battery in my Amiga4000PPC started to leak and so I removed it to avoid my A4k-mobo getting damaged.

I was still wondering if I should look for an replacement or not when I got aware of NetClock.

Once you go online with your Miggy, NetClock immediately starts, tries to contact an web-based time server and - if successful - sets your system time to the actual time (if necessary).

No longer need for batteries...
