SCSI to PCMCIA mounts like a CD rom,it always see the unit.

i think it's also bootable ( not tested ).

example: http://www.mpl.ch/t2331.html

NOTE: most of this type of unit fit's in the floppy bay
no modifcation reqd.

@ delshay

Thanks for the info. I've wanted to give an A4000 a PCMCIA slot for quite some time

@ alexh

Indeed I wouldn't want to pay $500 for one :-o Next to nothing sounds a lot better if possible :-)

There is ONE on the entire world wide Ebay. It's a one-off second hand unit.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310074631498

And there are NONE in the Ebay completed items.

These are not regular everyday easy to obtain items.

Does anyone use one? What model? What SCSI card do they use it with?

68-pin so you'd need an adapter but cool. Do they work (with the Amiga)?

Looking at the Argus website they do not make them anymore which is a bummer.

-----------------------------------------------------------

there are 50 pin SCSI card reader's just keep searching WWW.

i dont see a problem with 68-50 pin adapter and should work but cannot say if it will work with adapter.

EXTRA NOTES:

dual slots mount under one SCSI ID,but has LUN 0 and 1 in-order to activate two card slots.

any slot can be used,or both at the same time.

this is config on the unit it-self and can be switch off to mount under one LUN.

note some unit may not have this config switch.
