That's a so called 'Frog design' amiga mouse. I think it originates in the Escom era. AFAIK Frog Design also designed the Walker case.
It looks neat but the hardware stinks. It's really a piece of crap, mine broke down after 3 quarters of a year. Then again...the original C= A1200 mice also suck =). |

My mouse and mousepad looks exactly like that.
Mine hasn't broke down yet, and it got the right click-sound and all...

A miggy mouse isn't supposed to "click". It's supposed to thud! :-)

I bought two of these mice (one white and one black). They were pretty cheap when new. But on both the left mouse button died about half a year after I started using each. So they are really cheap. Bye, Thomas |

I have a Qtronix mouse, that replaced the original A2000 mouse, still in use. The back-end pads wore off then the flat underside of the case started to wear away. The 'wear area' is like a "V" that runs back from the ball to halfway down each side. Now there is little of the front-end pads left.
I put on round nylon self-sticking pads at the back-end corners and cut these to half-height so the ball could make desk contact. After the front-end pads wear completely off I'll have to do the same for those. Believe me, the corner-pads underneath a mouse ARE necessary! As long as those are replaced, a good mouse can last for a long- long- time! I've found that a plastic placemat makes a good mousemat. |

I still have (and use dailey) the original mouse that came
with my A2000 in 1991. It still functions perfectly. I've had to replace 3 mice on my A1200 since new (1998). Can't beat that original A2000 mouse!

I just bought that black mouse, works great so far. I used to have what I think people call the "shuttle" mouse. Extremly uncomfortable, big it was. The left button broke on it... what do you expect when you have to slam almost directly on top of the button to get it to work lol. :-P
