@ trip6

It's a plain VGA input so a "standard" 23pin->15pin adapter should do the trick. They're fairly common at dealers. You'll probably lose genlocking capabilities, as only a few dedicated boxes have the required circuitry (much harder to find).

If this works well, it would be better than a neobitz s-video mod, you think? It is VGA output after all.

It's a Cypress CM-397.

They have been discussed several times on Amiga.org

They are 16-bit scandoublers (at best, more like 12-14 in reality) so you loose colours in AGA and they automatically scan-rate convert 50Hz screens to 60Hz screens destroying smooth scrolling in PAL.

But they are available now, they work with LCD monitors.

Dont be down folks its still great for OCS\ECS computers for those of you that have those ,,,

@TheGoose

That neoblitz card is impossible to get hold of as the guy who sells them stopped answering emails .. Also Rgb should be far better for picture quality than plain S-vid ...

S-Video and YUV (component) are good solutions for any Amiga, but they blocks the possibility of using high resolutions (goodbye DBL and VGA modes) in TV's. I'm designing a RGB to YUV converter myself.

But for games they are simply great!

When the board are done I'll make an announcement.:-D

PS: I'm intending to put the board inside an A520 box for better Amiga-looking, so be patient!:cheers:

@rkauer

Wow, you go man.

I guess I'll consider myself lucky I got a neobitz board. He responded to me not too long ago.
