Amiga generated content in some of my old films.
« on: April 11, 2008, 03:34:27 PM »
Howdy all.

I just put up a few short films I've done with Amiga-created content onto YouTube.

The first two were done in High School, around 1989-1990 or so.  The third was done for a short mockumentary "Enter The Dagon" in 2004.

The software used on the first one, "The Skies of Quetzel", includes Deluxe Video 3, Deluxe Paint 3, and DigiPaint. I exported each segment to 8mm video tape, then edited in 8mm.  It's pretty dorky.

The second one, "Frankenstein Gets The Juice", just has title cards that were created in Deluxe Paint 2.  I believe that the slideshow/credits at the end was done using Electronic Arts' "Slideshow" tool from the Art And Utilities disk.

The third, "Me And My Family", was done about 3 years ago using UAE then conversion to DV using an Amiga 500 and a DV bridge to intentionally make it look more analogish.  Software used was Deluxe Paint 3 and Deluxe Video 3.  (I might have posted this one here before, but I'm including it for completeness.)

More information is available with each one about their intent and such.

Thanks for sharing. I see you are only about 2 hours from where I live.

I gotta get me some Florida Orange Juice.  Please tell me you were entering a contest or something? *CHUCKLE*

Heh yeah.   The Orange Juice one was to make a music video for FOJ.  It wasn't really a music video, but everyone had fun making it anyway.  The only thing i can remember about the winning movie is that it had a crane shot at the end of it... and a real song with lyrics. ;)

But ours... it's very high-school... very fun.  I'd have to try really hard to make something that had that feel nowadays.
