Default WTB: RAM Expansion Card A2000
Looking to upgrade the amount of FAST memory in my A2000. Looking for a populated RAM expansion card.

Chip ram or fast ram?

Chip ram expansion will require a minimegachip and is only expandable to 2mb....and they are getting extremely rare by the day.
Fast ram is different, expanions from 1mb to 8 mb come thick and fast and don't cost too much

Sorry. You're right, of course. I totally meant fast RAM. I even checked the post afterwards to make sure that I had the correct type, but obviously my mind is going. I'd like to add 8 MB of fast RAM, which I believe is the Zorro bus limit, correct? (My 4 MB on the CPU upgrade card doesn't count against me in the '8 MB total', does it?)

The 4 megs does indeed count against the 8 meg Zorro Bus limit if the accelerator card is a Commodore A2620 or A2630 if I remember correctly.

you are correct, i have the a2630 with 4mb onboard and therefore can only add 4mb on an expansion card.

How about a Dataflyer ram expansion. Contains 8 megs and has been tested in a A3000.

Son of a..! Okay, so then I don't need a fully populated card, since I have a 2630 w/ 4 MB. I need a card with 4 MB on it.
