Default A4000D motherboard

Hi all,

I think my chances of getting a complete original A4000 system within my budget are nil, so I was thinking of buying a motherboard from a 4000d and then sourcing a case etc. for it...
My question is, what cases other than the original could I put the mobo in other than the original?

I thought about doing that, but by the time you have bought the case, daughter card, cpu card and everything you need...you could source a complete A4000D for the same.

I ended up buying an a2000 to feed my bigbox Amiga craving, expansions come fast and relatively cheap in comparison and you can source one pretty easily.
I just need to find a cheap graphics card for mine and its very capable.

I bought a 2000 off one of the other Aussies on here, should arrive sometime this week and I'm itching to get it going!

Sell off all your other Amiga stuff and you can afford an A4000D.

They are only about £150 for an A4000/030

Remember if you get a tower case you will require the corresponding daughter card.

Hmm... The mobo I was looking at has a starting bid of $100 Aus which I guess is roughly £50 so all of a sudden it's not looking that cheap

Since it was posted Saturday of last week, you should see it either tomorrow or Tuesday. You're really going to love that machine. It's the cleanest, newest looking Amiga 2000 I've ever seen. Have a look at the Motherboard when you get it. It looks like it rolled of the assembly line yesterday.

Oh BTW, there's an 030 Accelerator for an A2000 going on ebay at the moment. It would goes nicely with that machine. It's not my item, for those cynics who think I'm plugging my own auction.

You'll have to bail up your postie I reckon.
