Laptop optical drive housing?
« on: March 20, 2008, 02:54:42 PM »
I've got a Pioneer laptop DVD-RW with an IDE converter plugged in to the back, and have found that it works when connected to the controller board inside a USB hard disk caddy. Though of course the drive doesn't actually fit inside the caddy. Does anyone know if a housing exists for laptop optical drives?

You mean something like this ?

EDIT: noticed the ebay shop doesn't exist anymore.
Found out the ebay seller set up an online webshop and
sells the same product.

Here's the link to Tiger111HK

EDIT 2: Ebay shop is open again. So the product is
available through Ebay and Tiger111HK.com. :-D

regards,
Lloyd
