Default Scan Doubler alternatives

Following my dream of finding alternatives for the extremely expensive Amiga Scandoublers:

LINK

You are looking at: NEC IDC-3000 video scan converter, scaler, line-doubler, switcher.

Excellent video line doubler/scan converter in mint condition with very light usage. Use it to manage your standard resolution video sources and provide line-doubling at the same time. A perfect match for a NEC XG-series projector but will work with any projector using RGB inputs.
What is included

* Video processor
* Rack mount kit (R and L)
* Manual
* Power Cord

That can be adapted to work flawlessly with an Amiga and regular VGA monitors?

I think that equipment is NTSC (60Hz) input only

I'm afraid it only scandoubles the video signal not the RGB. Why? On the RGB input connector it says "Through" so it probably just passes it through. Looks like a composite video or an S-Video scandoubler. I guess it would be fine if you wanted to watch videos on a PC monitor. I might be mistaken but that's my interpretation of it.

I just tried to read the manual, twice, and I agree. If it doubled the RGB inputs, *I* would buy one. I would have bought one anyway, except I paid over twice that on Friday for a more complicated, although more flexible, NTSC->VGA solution

I looked at the IEV Turboscan 1500 awhile ago, too. Someone's had one up for sale for $100USD on ebay for awhile, not bad for something that originally sold for ~$2000.

However, I couldn't find enough info about it to determine if it would work or not, and the one I ended up getting was considerably smaller for roughly the same price.
