yep that´s it if i had come to the site soon ....i had realised that my self the only problem is my lacie i bought had id select and i had to shunt directly because i didn´t know after i took for clean how to conect again

i want a spare accelerator TOOOO
and my mtec 1230 i have to unplug it because the zorro 2 scsi expansion conflicts with squirrel scsi

I have a surf squirrel at home and never was able to make it work with a SCSI device; i remember i bought a zip disc and a scanner (used also in my performa 6400) and i remember tha tevery time i tried to access some device the computer freezes; one thing that comes in my mind is that maybe the surf squirrel was conflicting with my viper EC030/28 and its 16 then 32 meg on board; any advice?

Is it terminated properly? Are the Zip and scanner set with different SCSI unit numbers?

it could be coonflit as mine is terminated by active and internally because i couldn´t figure out how to conect id selector again on the drive i had to unplug my mtec as the accellerator have zorro 2 expansion and conflits with squirrel fortunatly mtec has a turbo selector that enables card but not card clock i am going to try it later

yes correct its squirrelscsi.device also make sure you last unit it terminated usually the cdrom seems everthing is mostley right i think hardware is fine from what u saying

I found the easiest software to try is idefix try demo and use scan device and should set up cd drivers cd0: for you automatically u have to tell it squirellscsi.device

I fould these device robust and bullet proof good luck

They were, the zip drive had its own switch for termination and you were able to select unit 5 or 6, the scanner had an hardware terminator and was on (going by memory, its been 15 years) unit 3, never put those on a chain with the surfsquirrel since were unable to work alone...
