Default fun with typothings

It is important to mention that when we discuss Amiga we are taking about the Amiga in a classic sense and not Amiga Inc.
What sense is it when you are talking pictures with a camera?

Because DiscreetFX grabbed the remnants of Aladdin 4D and its related IP and source code it got to avoid a common phonomonon in the Amiga software marketplace, certain death.
Is a phonomonon anything like a record player with one speaker?

My only complaint about the Blog are the typos and spelling/grammar mistakes and weird or awkward sentences. It's just a little nit-pick, and I don't personally care too much. However, these types of things make your site look less professional to higher end clients. I.e. in a lot of cases there is a incorrect use of "it's" where "its" should be used.

On the other hand, I realise you guys are programmers and not journalists - and frankly, that's great. I'd rather see you invest time into improving Aladdin rather than obsessing about the language of the blog.

Nice! On the Aladdin 4D page, I clicked on the Next Blog link and got pictures of drunk German chicks! Talk about rubbing the magic lamp!

If you can expand on this theme, I think you will sell to guys that don't have Amigas, Si!

Oh, and just to clear things up (I realise I criticized above without offering any encouragement), I really like the blog - it's positive while remaining realistic (you make claims for the future of Aladdin but don't have your collective heads in the clouds).

Yeah, I figured the next guy who followed that path would get pictures of fat geeks at a LAN party

Actually, it was some artsy photographer guy that took pictures with mostly black in them.

The Classic Amiga sold millions of machines,
Apple is selling 4+ millions of machines *a year*! Maybe it would be a better idea to look at them rather than looking at CBM...

Quote:
the current Amiga Inc. has never sold millions of Amiga Anywhere solutions.
At least they sold enough of their product so that each member of this "community" could have his copy... That's 1000+ copies. And I bet they sold way more!

Quote:
Until they do it would be best if they looked to the Amiga's past for wisdom since that is what made the Amiga brand successful.
Yeah... And what about releasing something instead of spitting on A,Inc. ? I'm willing to bet that in a year from now you will still be talking but there still won't be any sign of Aladdin PPC/x86(AROS) port. And this for sure won't be "evil" Amiga Inc. 's fault...

So where's my copy then? I'm a member of this "community" and I never got it (never ordered one either).

just wondering, of the plans you have for Aladdin 4D, any potential for rebuilding, reverse engineering or producing similar tools to what had been sold as "Genie Tools" vol 1 & 2 and a promised L Systems tool to generate life like plants?

I believe Nova Design had tried to contact the guy with no luck or could not persuade him to do anything for the Amiga after he left for the PC. I believe he continued to use some of his code in PC tools.

There were some great tools in those but after the UI changed they behaved oddly or just looked bad. The promised L systems tool to generate plants mathematically sounded really cool.
