Hello ppl.
Can someone tell me the pinout assignment in the TP9 and TP10 connectors inside the A1200? Thanks in advance. "First learn computer science and all the theory. Next develop a programming style. Then forget all that and just hack." -- George Carrette

Example: the two leftmost "pins" on TP9 are good to add a hard reset push-button to the A1200.
I just want to know the assignments of the other pins.

A lot of times "TP" locations are test points. I am not sure in this case though. Try looking at the board schematic and see if it gives a clue.

Well, the R2 schematics do show the TPs:
TP1: 1-CPUCLK 2-_AS 3-_DS 4-R_W 5-_DSACK_0 6-_DSACK_1 7-_ROMEN 8-_CDIS 9-_KB_RESET 0-GND TP2: 1-CCK 2-CCKQ 3-_RAMEN 4-_REGEN 5-_BLS 6-_OEB 7-_RAS 8-_CAS 9-_DWE 0-GND TP3: 1-_DBR 2-RGA8 .. 9-RGA1 0-GND :-) PS: Sorry, read something like TP2... Er, where is TP9? |

The easiest trick is route a pair of wires from kb_reset and GND to a push-button in order to make a hardware-reset button to your Amiga.
Very useful if you make your own keyboard adaptor and the <CTRL>+<L-Amiga>+<R-Amiga> don't reset the Amiga anymore (good hack to towerised Amigas too).

Nice to know, I need to make reset button. Where are these pins? Is there a pic around somewhere?
Oh, nevermind I found them here: http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=2351 |
