I asked if seller allowed local pick up. Here is what the person had to say:
'Yes, I do allow local pickup, but you will still have to pay a $10 handling fee. The reason why I only accept a Postal money order or a check from a well known bank in the US is because I have been ripped off in the past. For instance, I once sold a guy a rare vintage black GI Joe for $431.00. He mailed me a Bank Check. I deposited the bank check into my own account. Then I shipped the guy his GI Joe. When he received the packaged, he issued a stop-payment on the bank check and kept the GI Joe. I then filed a complaint with the IFCC and eBay suspended the guy's account. The same thing happened again when I sold to some guy a rare Matchbox MOY for $335.00. He stopped the payment and kept the car. Now, because of those two jerks, I only accept cash, a postal money order, or a check from US Bank or Wells Fargo Bank. The reason why I do not accept PayPal is because PayPal is not a bank. By accepting PayPal a person loses all of their rights that they would otherwise have by going through a real bank or by using a real credit card. I have been selling on eBay for over 7 years, in all of that time I have never ripped anyone off. But, some people just like to spread lies about me. Oh well.'
WHERE have we heard that before?
