Default n00b needs help.

Hi,

I was having much fun with my miggy when the HD suddently died, i'm trying to replace it with another one "Seagate Barracuda 40 Gbytes" but my A1200 doesn't recognize it :-? Do you have to install any software to make the 4-way IDE adapter work?

The HD was working fine on my other computer.

Thanks in advance.

How have you connected it to your buffered interface (which connector and which type of cable)? How is it powered? When you say it's not recognised, do you mean HDToolBox doesn't see the drive at all, doesn't see the partitions on it, or only sees part of the drive?
