Default Looking for some hardware

Greetings:

It has indeed been awhile since I posted here. I hope everyone is doing well.

My Pet project Amiga 4000 (Desktop) is finally up and running and I found some odds and ends that I was looking for at Amigakit (naturally), but neither Softhut or Amigakit seem to have this one item:

I need a Zorro Network card for my 4000. If someone has one they would "gift" (I would do shipping in either case) or sell for a low cost to me, this would be much appreciated. If you can help, please PM me.

Looking for 10 base-T at least.

Thanks,

Mike

Amigakit posted recently that they would have some X-Surfs back in stock sometime soon.

Maybe if you beg, grovel and fast someone will feel sorry for you and give you a network card ;-). No, really they go for pretty good money any more, usually $50 up and $50 doesn't get a very nice one. The nicer ones usually go for $70 to $90 on E-bay. There is always the Mediator if you were ever thinking of a graphics card too...

http://shop.elbox.com/cgibin/shop?info=203M4DI&sid=1a55d76b

Free worldwide shipping right now but not so cheap with the U.S. dollar like monopoly money. A PCI NIC and Voodoo 3 graphics card can be had for $10 to $15 shipped each. The Voodoo 3 is very fast on the Amiga.

It's nice to see someone local. I was born in and grew up in Independence but I don't want to brag about that :-P. Good luck in your search.

There is yet another possibility that I have been going to try for 10 years, but havn't gotten around to. If you can get a BridgeBoard, there is software on Aminet to let you use an ISA network card (I'll send you one for free) from the Amiga side.

There is an interprocessor communication development library for the BridgeBoards, but this is the only use of it by non-CBM developers. It could have been fun back in the day to run all these strange ISA cards along with the strange Zorro cards
