I've seen screenies of ppl running mooVid on V3s, but don't know if it targets the hardware specifically. It was written with accelerated support for Picasso cards. If there's some kind of VESA standard for the hardware scaling routines, then I guess the V3 works just as good as the picasso, but I don't know if any extra support is added.

The problem is that AFAIK amiga os don't support the voodoo's HW decoding. So if somebody write a good driver it will...

No

It sure is possible. It'd require adding support for the HW feature (in the voodoo drivers), aswell as designing some nice API for it. Then you'd need to write some software that uses the new API.

Since Elbox isn't very likely to share the Voodoo drivers, I'm afraid this is never going to happen.
