Apparantly we can now buy 15 Amiga games and for the first time ever play them on PC.

Does anyone actually want this?? especially as some of these games were previously made free by the developers and a few were already available on PC format.

You seem to forget that there are one major difference... With these games, you simply just have to doubleclick the icon and your are good to go. With UAE, you both have to locate a rom file, set various settings and tweak it until it runs okay.
This is not something that a average person handles easily without help and thus for them this could be a better offer. I do think these games are a priced a bit high though..
If it was a bundle of 10 games or so, then i think it would have been a rather ok price.

You also seem to forget that Cinemaware and that other game company is most likely getting paid for this as well, which is a good thing. It definitely beats the hell out of amigaanywhere games.

I would say it's exactly the average person these games are targeted at, more precisely someone who hasn't owned or held an Amiga in many years and stumbles onto their site.

My cousin for example owned an Amiga from around the same age as me about 10 or 11 and ditched it for a playstation by 15. He's not a computer geek and wouldn't know the first thing about configuring winuae, but for someone like him who wanted to run an old game for nostalgia purposes with minimal fuss then this would be the best solution.

I did buy tiny troops myself and it works well, but after the whole court case thing I won't be feeding Ainc again any time soon.

Im not saying the games arent targeted at the average person Im saying the average person wouldnt think of going to Amiga.com in the first place as they are unaware that these games are being sold there.
People on the forum know because now and then one of us drops by Amiga.com to see how they are messing things up for the Amiga and then come back and let everyone know.
The people on the forum also either have an Amiga or have the time to learn to set up UAE.
