Hi guys, i had to come to the official amiga forums to ask this question as noone has been able to answer it anywhere else.

Has anyone ever completed the submarine carrier mission in F/A-18 interceptor?

Me and my freinds have never got passed it, ive launched missiles into every position on the sub looking for a weak point but the darn thing never blows up! the mission says to destroy it but it seems indestructable, ive even landed on the deck and unloaded all missiles and cannon bullets into it for no effect.

Please, there must be someone out there who knows what to do, unless its a major game bug that was never fixed.

Apparently, you must take out the Migs to complete the mission, not the sub.

Oh my god, i remember the countless hours i spend i the summer of (was it?) 1988 trying to sink the subcarrier, and nothing ever happened. :-D

Yeah, it was one of the few games I did get to the end of!

From memory you had to shoot both enemy fighter down, then land on the sub carrier and come to a halt - turning your engines off...

Nah, you just had to shoot all the Migs down. You could re-arm and re-fuel on the enemy sub however...
