Default Pro Motion

Thought some fans of D-Paint might like this:

http://www.cosmigo.com/promotion/

It's a pixel pusher for Windows. I haven't tried it but the web site says it is inspired by D-Paint, and is designed for close pixel work. Thought it might be useful for game developers or artists looking for something similar to D-Paint/P-Paint.

@Moto:

I've used ProMotion a few times. The comforting thing is that it uses the same keyboard short cuts as DPaint and, indeed, works quite a lot like DPaint.

While I was e big fan of DPaint, I stopt using it since I got Personal Paint. Right now, on the PC, I only seem to use The Gimp, ProMotion is hardly used as the tasks I'd use if for can be easily done using Paint.

Promotion is good for pixel drawing and is used by artists doing graphics for GBA and mobile games.

@bloodline
I know :-( I looked for a similar Mac application before posting. I bet it would run well enough inside Parallels.

I've searched the net from top to bottom, from left to right and haven't managed to find a DPaint like for the Mac. For general 'photo-shop' like work I decided to go for The Gimp, for the other little tasks I used PersonalPaint on E-UAE.

Pixen is reportedly a good pixel-style graphics program... not *exactly* like DPaint, but then only DPaint is.

Check it out at http://opensword.org/Pixen/
