Just curious, is there any plan to add support for custom screens and mode promotion? My favorite feature of AmigaOS was the A-M/A-N method of switching between full screens and the ability to pull down screens. Moving windows around gets old fast. Is this just something that just nobody has gotten to yet? It sure would be cool to have this. No other OS did this and I always wondered why because it was one of the coolest features. thanks -tom |

The thing is that AROS doesn't run on system with copper and planar graphics. So to emulate screen dragging with AROS, you'd need to do some realtime blitting of the visible screens. It can be done, but it won't be exactly the same as original screen dragging. Then again, you can do some other funky stuff with the "blitting" drag, such as: Dragon screenshot |
