WOW, :-o is all I can say.
The main reason its going for so much is he has the 1960 monitor. These are very rare and not easy to find in working condition and he also has an external High density floppy drive. Its still over priced and even though it has some bids I doubt the buyer will pull through as I dont know anyone who would pay that much. I do question why its showing the insert floppy screen as this would mean that either there is a problem with the hard drive or there is no hard drive at all. |

Wow! It almost, almost mind you, makes me want to put my A1960 up as I'm not using it right now.

@Ross1
There are actually 33 bids on this item with what looks to be like 7 bidders total and bidder 1 is high bid for now. |

Sorry I edited my post as I ment to say that the 3 bidders dont have many feedback ratings, always a concern for me when I sell something and it goes high.

Damn if I had that much money, I would be set.
Hmm, that would great to be able to spend that much money on something like that. I would be able to have a very high powered Core Duo 2 system.

I think bidders #2,3,4,6 are real people. Their bids ended at about $200. Bidders #1,7 are probably phantoms artificially driving up the price. But who knows, it could be reall. Can't imagine a 4000 going for more than an A1. If so it's time sell one of my 4000's :-P

Yeah, I can't imagine who would pay $1500 for *any* Amiga. Not that I don't like messing with the old hardware now and again, but you could build a darn nice PC (with an equally nice LCD) for quite a bit less. Another silly auction here. Maybe not quite as nuts, but still... $100 for an advertised broken '030 card. (Not to mention, one of the worst ones to own from a feature-set standpoint.) Unless the guy is wrong and for whatever reason it DOES actually work (wrong jumper setting or something), it's a $100 paperweight. |

That is NOT a High Density external drive, it is a California Access CA-880 drive.

damn, i think i know exactly who sold that Falcon030. i had a chance to buy a few boxed systems from them a few years ago for maybe ~$600 (they wanted $1200 at first). this must've been the last one. :-( got a ton of nice C64 stuff from them, unfortunately i sold it all years back.
i did manage to get their old floor model Falcon030 (beautiful condition) for $50 though. had some nice stuff (Cubase, Logic) on the HD, but it was useless without the dongles for them. sad to see that listing... |
