Default Scala (?)

just got another A1200, looks like this one was used (sparingly) for tv/video production. it's got Scala and a few other things on the HD, along with a little red [!] dongle that plugs into the joystick port. it had some interlace program(?) in startup which made the screen all jittery so i deleted it (after seeing it was available in another Drawer). not sure how to use it but it seems to work ok.

is this of use to anyone without the documentation? i put the HD into the A1200 that i plan to sell, don't really have much use for the program myself. any thoughts? does anyone here use this program?

Me and my parents used to use Scala to create titles for our videos, great piece of software - basically this is what Microsoft Powerpoint is based on.
I know there is a version of Scala with the dongle but I can't remember which one hmmmm...

@jbuonacc

SCALA is my most used application on the Amiga..I use it almost everyday. I forget what version the red Dongle is for........but if you put the dongle into the joystick port and then start up SCALA...it will tell you at the top of the SCALA screen what version it is. I am guessing it is SCALA MM400

nevertheless..are you in the USA? I would highly be interested in your Amiga1200 with SCALA. thats if I dont get the one I am trying to get at the moment.

PMAIL me.

My Amiga 3000 came with MM200 and a red dongle, so I agree with Chain.

At work, we just got a bunch of Scala boxes to run digital signage. They're just PCs in industrial cases, but cool none the less to see Scala after all these years.

Check out the reflection on the screen, looks like a living room with some chairs around a table with newspapers on it. And a mod player playing "scene" music? I'm thinking this "screenshot" is from someone's private computer, nothing in use today. Probably viewing old data from a rescued disk/miggy?

But hey, I'm just guessing here.

I do remember, for some 10-15 years ago, that my local cable company had a guru meditation on their info channel for almost an entire day.

That screen is from a person living in Gothenburg and I suppose it is taken from his home.
That TV-channel broadcast in cable-tv and it hits about 230 000 people. That Scala are like an endless program between the ordinary programs and yes it is still in use.

This is the site. http://www.oppnakanalen.se/goteborg/
