Default Vernal equinox

Today is the first day of northern spring.
Equinox means "equal night", the day and night are equal in length today. From this day forward, the days will become longer.

actually, I observe it purely from an astronomical point of view - usually by going to look at the moon or something nightskyish, if possible.
otherwise its just 'oo its the vernal equinox' :-)
