Default amiga cd-rw max speed on ide

hi I was wondering how fast a CD-RW can the default ide interface of the Amiga 4000 handle? many thanks for your help.

not sure wouldn't that depend on the model of the drive? memory and how fast the system is. If the drive buffers well, it should give max performance, one good one is the lite-on80...something. not on my amiga rightnow.

On a 030 Miggy, top is 2x. 060 ones could do 4x.

With the STANDARD IDE (no powerflyer, no FastATA, no nothing).

i have soon an amiga 4000 with 060 and 140-odd mb ram. using thr standard ide.

I really need to get a '60. Because my 68040's are just killing me.

The 68040 is good for the Macintosh Quadra that I have , but for my Amigas, someone once said that Life doesn't start until '60 (or was that 60 years old)
