Default IDE to USB connector
Hi I have a A1200 with 2 external 3.5in HDrives. Does anyone know if there is a adapter to convert the IDE cable to a USB out let & then be able to plug in a standard memory stick?

Hi,

You can get a cheapo CompactFlash IDE adapter that'll allow you to use a CF card on your IDE bus (as it's basically a variant on the IDE interface anyway). Note that this won't be hot swappable...

AFAIK, you can only get adapters that allow IDE devices to be used on a USB port - and not the other way round.

A possible solution for your problem might be to buy a Subway USB interface for your A1200's clock port...
