Default Scsi Hard drive question

Hi
Ok i have a Blizzard scsi controller which i have had for a few years but never got around to using it.
Well i got a scsi hard drive for xmas and have the following questions..

I have a few cables lying around such as the blizzard scsi 2 cable,male to male cable and two wide end cables to male cables.This hard drive is a 18gb hewlett packard and on the drive it says,ultra 2 scsi....So what other equipment am i gonna need to use this??

I have no clue to be honest as i`m used to using IDE drives on my power flyer but would love to see how much of a diffrence scsi is.
So if anyone could point me in the direction of the things i need to buy that would really make things a lot easier.
Thanks a lot.

You need the 25 -> 50 way adapter, a 50 way SCSI cable, and a 50 way active terminator. The Blizzard SCSI interface will terminate one end of the chain. So you rig it like this:

1. Blizzard SCSI interface
2. 25 -> 50 way adapter
3. HDD
4. Active terminator

Oh ok, well in that case you need a 25 -> 68 way cable and a 68 way terminator.

Hi Gav,

I think ypu probably need something like item number 200061988380 on ebay.

link

I've also been looking to try a drive on the blizzards scsi, however unlike you I have 68pin ultra w2 drive, I have the 68pin cable and terminator, however I can't seem to get my hands on a 50 pin male to 68pin female adapter I need, although I have a load of 50pin female to 68pin female adapters. Annoying.

I think we were looking at the same thing. Seeing as it has a 50pin male and 68pin female headers on it I wonder if I could use it too.
