I managed to setup an towerised Amiga A1200 with mediator card and a Voodoo 5 videocard, which I have connected to an LCD monitor (LG L1511SE, native resolution of 1024 x 768). After a lot of playing around with P96's settings I managed to get a good picture, but it is not perfect.
There seems to be some 'bleeding' going on in areas of high contrast such as window edges (there is nothing wrong with the monitor as I have tried it with a PC and it works pefect). These are the settings I have entered in P96: Resolution: 1024 x 768 Clock: 77.10 MHZ Framesize: 1310 x 796 Bordersize: 0, 0 Position: 72, 0 Syncsize: 60,8 Syncpolarity: Yes, yes Freq: 59kHz, 73Hz Anyone can help me out to find out the exact settings for my monitor? I would also appreciate if someone goes through those settings and explains to me what each one is for ![]() Thanks a lot guys, you rock :-D Update: According to a specs, this monitors supported frequencies are: Horizontal: 31 - 61kHz Vertical: 56 - 75Hz |

IIRC the P96mode program lets you choose from a variaty of default modes. Just use them instead of doing your own experiments. Bye, Thomas |

Hi,
Thanks for your reply - a few questions ![]() 1. I assume repeating frequency = Vertical Frequency. P96 doesnt let you manually edit the horizonal and vertical frequencies but you have to change framesize and the clock to get different horizontal and verticaly frequency rates - is it supposed to be like this? Shouldn't the framesize be the exact number of pixels of the monitor on an LCD display? 2. "probably because of bad-quality or too long cables used between the gfx card and the monitor" I didnt have this problem when I connected the same monitor to a PC - I do not use a switchbox either 3. "IIRC the P96mode program lets you choose from a variaty of default modes" Hmmm, strange that one as I didn't see any preset resolutions listed - I had to do them myself. Maybe I can download a file with these settings from somewhere? Thanks again! |
