I have this Toccata soundcard installed for a short while. It works fine in Digibooster and various moduleplayers.
However, it freezes the system while using OS3.9's Amplifier - and indeed all mp3 players out there including the marvellous AmiNetRadio. :-?
I have switched my AHI config to use the Paula audiodriver. No worries using this one except it is confined to 14bit simulated replay.
Audio play using the Toccata will stop without warning from the first minute of play to up to 15 minutes of play. The system gets frozen and a very highly pitched tone can be heard from the speakers (this alone drives me nuts! :headwall: ). I have had MuGuardianAngel running but it did not warn me for the crash.
Do similar problems occur to other owners of the Toccata? Would another brand of soundcard cure the problem?

I use a clean OS3.9-2 setup with AHI ahi.device 6.6 (27-09-2005). Toccata driver toccata.audio 4.4 (12-08-1997);
mpega.library 2.4 (23-06-2002) [WarpOS] mpega.library.

Damn I just had a system freeze using Paula config. What in the world could this be?

Take out the Toccata card, clean the contacts and re-seat the card again in the zorro slot, try a different slot further away from any other cards.

I use AHI 4.18. That's supposed to be the best AHI version for real 68k Amigas. I don't have a Toccata though but a Delfina. Works fine here.

I also had freezes while playing mp3 with warpos.
It is probably not your toccata.
Try with a 68k mpega.lib and see if it is gone.

I used to have a VlaBMotion Toccata combo in my 4000T ppc and had no problems playing mp3s so its probably some SW configuration..
