Default A4000 missing parts thread. Ask for missing parts here!
Hello,
im trying to revive one a4000 machine.
there is missing steel plate which holds floppy drives and cd-rom drive.
can anyone measure it properly for me? i must try to make this part new.

there are my measurements, but lot of dimensions are just estimated

any help and corrections are welcome :help:

Whats happened to your existing cradle ? Lost, damaged ?

unfortunately i bought this machine without it (

but its reallly nice machine, now with 3.1 roms fitted and CS MK-II it runs fantastic
(picasso II follows, after i have that damn craddle for cd-rom)


If anyone have BROKEN, YELLOWED, BURNT A4000D, i will buy that craddle from him....hmm how about 10 quids+p&p?

Yeah i am the same......, CS MK-II (060) with 128MB on the card.

I *DID* have 16MB fastram on the motherboard too, but I removed it, left the Simm in place for chip ram but removed the rest.. that way, the 060 *ONLY* has to address the RAM thats on its own card, speeding up response times to fastram.

I am on the lookout for a GFx card too, wouldnt mind Picasso, but they are RARE, got my eyes lined up for a Cybervision 64/3D.

oh, your not the only one! a lot did it, when tower case for Amiga weren't available. I've seen much, much worse things ;-)
