Default A1200 bizarre behavior

I have an A1200 with some bizarre display behavior. All I get from the composite or RF video is a black screen. However, I get a config screen on the RGB monitor if it's hooked up (I think, my toast scan hasn't arrived yet, should be here tomorrow).

Anyone know what might be wrong?

Its quite common for the RF modulator to die on the A1200, I've had a few where RF stopped outputting a signal. Could also be the reason for not getting a signal on composite either...

Yes, but you must have an experience on CMS component soldering. Any TV/Hifi/DVD repair shop can do that, these are very common capacitor and very classic technology, if you prefer you can send it to amigacenter in France.
But very few shop would like to repair the RF unit because it's quite hard to adjust.
