Hi,

I just use regular white sticky labels. They're not exactly the right shape, but that's fine. The one's I use come in A4 sheets, and can be handled by some printers if you like. The individual labels just peel off the A4 backing sheet. These are cheap and plentiful.

I got some Avery brand floppy labels. They are inkjet and laser printable (comes with MS Word templates). They're also removable, so they don't leave the sticker residue.

I use a Dymo Letra-Tag sticker printer to label my disks and just about everything else I touch.

one small tip:
-If you plan to remove them one day, first put them on Levis trousers and then on diskettes.

I'm considering using INSULATING TAPE for labeling diskettes (with permanent marker) after all the trouble after trying to remove labels (oil/isopropanol/water/some spezial 'label remover' spray/etc..)

Nah! Just keep sticking new labels over the top!

I remember having a few disks in the early 90s that were almost too fat to go into the drive! :-)

I've never had to remove labels from discs, but I generally find that white spirits, or mineral turpentine work fine for this (Eucalyptus oil is also used in shops for this in Australia, as it smells a lot nicer than turps). I guess non-polar solvents will be best here (alcohol is usually not so good).

I'm not sure it's a good idea to use solvents on discs though.
