Default Amiga & Case-Modding

Hi!
Have anyone ver tried to use round-cables for floppy drive in A1200? I have two Revoltec' round cables and I've huge troubles with them. After booting the system there's a window appearing with information

System request
Disk must be-reinserted
Retry Cancel

There is also no READY signal,so I need to use Diskchange command. I've checked the original flat-cable and two different 880kb floppy-drives. Always the same situation with roundies. Any suggestions?

Perhaps 'cause the round cables are PC floppy drive cables.

The round cables 'could' have the PC cable twist - you could try using a multimeter to check that the pins are directly connected (pins 10-16 will be crossed most likely).
You should be able to correct it fairly easily by removing pins 10-16 from the connector block and re-inserting them the other way.
