Did anyone see issue 22 of retro gamer, has a nice section on the A1200 and lists all (well, most) of the AGA enhanced games with screenshots. Think new issue is out now tho, oh well :/

Yeah, I've got a subscription. It was excellent of them to cover some of the later games. Even quake was mentioned.

I'll do a scan if anyone is interested?

Retro Gamer is generally pretty good stuff, although they've cut down on the technical stuff from the early issues for some reason.

Worth reading if you're into old games and systems.

@punkpie

Thanks very much for the scans! Would have missed that otherwise! I stopped getting Retro Gamer when I left the UK, but nice to see they've covered the A1200!

Cheers,

- Ali

The production company went bust. Another company bought Retro Gamer and kinda re-launched it.

I've got every issue of retro gamer so far. The amiga article prompted me to buy an a1200, and that led me to finding amiga.org, so hurray for retro gamer.

As an aside, I do wish people would stop asking retro gamer to reintroduce coverdisks. The only good one they did was the one with the c64 music.

Er, I have to say I was pretty chuffed with the (cut down) version of Amiga Forever I got on one of their coverdiscs.

I agree with that - nothing they ever did was not available on the web. The c64 music disk was ace!

I've got every issue of the magazine so far except for the first issue and I think issue 3. The best thing about the latest issue I read was the review of Mr. Beanbag, which got me really excited that someone was producing such a well polished and fun new game for the Amiga. I checked it out online, and found out the creator herself posts on these boards. I hope more people keep programming new Amiga games, as I'm sure the crew at Retro Gamer will continue to review them and expose them to the world.
