Default Required Classic Software - What's Your List

Since I just got back into the scene, I'm trying to remember all the software I used back when I was really into it, but I'm sure some programs elude me.

What are the "required" programs - those that you cannot live without? I'll list here what I remember as being those to have and hopefully, others will point me to good stuff as well.

As a point of reference, this is the system I just picked up. Note that I'm playing with it as it came to me from eBay and I have not done a fresh load, so stability could be an issue due to unknown factors:

A3000
25MHz 68030/68882
2MB Chip
4MB Fast
250MB HD
880K Floppy
1.76MB Floppy
1.4 ROMS / 3.1 Softkicked

MagicMenu
MagicWB
NewIcons
PointerX
SysIHack
CycleToMenu
NickPrefs
BlitzBlank
Lha
Lzx
KingCON
ARQ
SwazInfo
CaBoom

A few issues with the above programs...

PointerX - It doesn't seem to put my pointer into HiRes or SuperHiRes. I thought it was independant of the current screenmode?

BlitzBlank - The AmigaSign blanker has a ghost trail following it that streaks all over the screen.

NickPrefs - If I attempt to change screenmodes, the system will Guru.

Why waste precious chip RAM on MagicWB and NewIcons?

Anyway, thats beside the point. Don't forget to add WHDLoad, XPK and Directory Opus.

Actually, Directory Opus came with it on the HD. As it did not come with original disks, can someone point me onhow to pull it off the HD so I can install it on the larger HD properly when I get it?

I have Directory Opus (DOpus) 4.12se and the directory is 847,239 bytes in size.

It doesn't seem to require anything other than your chosen fonts but does look for:

SirectoryOpus.CFG
SirectoryOpus.HLP

In the program drawer there's:

DirectoryOpus (269,084 bytes)
Dopus.guide (376,230 bytes)

Modules/
ConfigOpus (135,968 bytes)
DOpus_Disk (27,620 bytes)
DOpus_Icon (11,592 bytes)
DOpus_Print (21,956 bytes)

(And your own icons for the above)

I reccommend these utils:

· MultiCX (enhances blanking, middle mouse, window movement etc.)
http://it.aminet.net/pub/aminet/util/cdity/mcx256.lha

· Snapper
http://main.aminet.net/util/misc/Snapper.lha
(Snapshots the irritating windows and requestors that never stay put)

· TinyMeter
http://it.aminet.net/pub/aminet/util/wb/Tinymeter_V431.lha
(Graphical depiction for disk space left, CPU usage and program launching)

· TolleUhr
http://de4.aminet.net/util/time/TolleUhr.lha
(Nice customisable Workbench clock)

· FullPalette
http://main.aminet.net/util/wb/FullPalette22.lha
(Stops other programs or icon sets messing up the Workbench colour palette)

There's many more...
