Default Amiga SSL again....

I've installed AmiSSL 2.2 several times in various ways but it never seems to work. Is there a SPECIFIC way to install it? Are AOL.COM and EBAY BAD choices for trying it out?

I use iBrowse 2.2 and I have tried all three SSL gadgets (Ami-ver.2, Ami-ver.3 & MiamiSSL) in various combinations but I always get "AMI SSL not installed or to old."

My Amiga is my onl route to the internet as my PC gave up the ghost two weeks ago so I really need this to work (I'm just glad Amiga.ORG works ) as I have things I'm selling and buying on E-bay as well as all my online banking that I can't do now.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

AmiSSL2.2.lha

Remember to untick "Use MiamiSSL" from IBrowse prefs.

Your post says you're using IBrowse 2.2 Get IBrowse 2.3 - there are a zillion bug fixes.

I did both of the ideas yo uguys threw out but to no avail.

iBrowse 2.3 did the exact same thing IE gave the same message.

The gadgets in "security" are the only ones I know about for SSL and I tried them all by them selves and combined.

Nothing works...

PLease, do you have any other ideas?

Ebay does not work with IBrowse. You can load the login page, but after you logged in you are told that the requested page is not available.

If a https page loads up but does not work, then it is not AmiSSL's fault. If AmiSSL does not work, you get a message that the protcol is not supported or that you should install a newer version of AmiSSL. All other errors mean that AmiSSL works fine and there is nothing you can do about it.

Bye,
Thomas
