Default Removing Waffle

How do I remove the waffle off WindowsXP (such as the rubbish games that came with it). What can I safely remove without Windows becoming even more unstable than it already is.
I have also just installed SuSE Linux 9.1. I would like to remove the Windows altogether, but PGit (who's account here I have hijacked, thinks this would be a bad idea.)

Does Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf work on Linux. If it does not, we will also be installing Linux on my dad's computer to stop him wasting hours at a time playing golf games.

EDIT:
The real PGIT here. My sister, otherwise known as the Witterence wrote the above (she is too lazy to set up an account). Her system has a dual boot and would removing windows mess this up. Also the university network may not be compatable with Linux (I.E the one in Hull.)

To remove all the rubbish from WinXP, I suggest you create your own custom CD- that only includes that stuff you need.
You can do this with nLite:
nLite
Just pop your XP CD in the drive and start the program and follow the instructions. You'll need to be quite computer literate though as it involves knowing what XP needs to keep it running, and you must burn the finished item to a CDR.
After this you must reinstall Windows (With your new custom CD).

It may be possible to run the WinXP games you like on Linux, through Cedega or WINE.

Good luck

Edit: Regarding removing the XP partiton- it depends on what boot loader you are using, I suppose. My guess is that it is probably safe to remove it if you are using GRUB on a boot partition.

Keep in mind, with the dual-boot system, when you re-install Windows, you'll have to re-install your bootloader, unless you want to try to use NTLDR as your bootloader. (I wouldn't recommend it.)

EDITED TO ADD: As for removing stuff from Windows... My best advice is just get a larger HD. You can try to limit the amount of stuff installed, but really all you'll end up doing is shooting yourself in the foot and causing yourself more grief as things randomly bomb from stuff being missing/altered. Personally, I'd rather waste some diskspace instead of giving Windows yet another reason to fall flat on it's face.

Ho una cintura nera. Tu sei ricco sfondato?

I was meaning the crap games, plus other useless papahernalia, that came with WinXP (the ones where it says games in programs). We know how to remove all the "important" programmes, but for some stupid reason, we cannot get gates etc off.

Can I access the Internet from Hull Uni accommodation without Exploiter? The answer to this question would solve a lot of pronlems.

:-x She used my account again!
As for is she fit. Well she does beleieve in healthy living if that's what you mean.

We were going to try and install Linux on my dad's PC but I doubt there's room for a dual boot and while I would be glad to remove WindowsME most of our software (especially the games) aren't Linux compatible.

You can remove the games easily, although they only take up ~12MB so is it really worth it? (I find Spider Solitare pretty fun...)

Run Add or Remove Programs from the Control Panel
Click the Add/Remove Windows Components button
Double click the Accessories and Utilities item (or highlight and click Details)
Uncheck Games

You can safetly remove everything that the Add/Remove Windows Components will let you. But, do this at your own risk. There might be other programs that depend on things like IE, etc.

There has been some interest expressed in my sister, maybe I should sell her on Ebay.
