So I am selling a Blizzard 1230 IV on Ebay with 50 Mhz of course but also with 128 Mb memory module.
I was told by most people that it is impossible but it turned out to be different. Yes, I did have to use a rubber band (no, not a cheap one out of the kitchen) but apart of that it works like a charm Instead of asking a too high price I decided to ask a very low starting price and let the market do its thing. If it gets sold at 40 GBP then so be it, if the price turns out to be higher then I guess I can live with that too As usual my shipping charges are for everybody the same, so no discussions about that.Though I still expect people to ask "how much does it cost to send to ..."

Somehow I think it is more or less not needed to put in 1.5 MB of pictures to advertise a Blizzard 1230 board, when you also put a link to the auction in the post. Maybe it´s just me...
The picture with breast was funny one or two times, but everything has to come to an end at some point. Anyway, that´s my thoughts. About the Blizzard; yes, anyone will be able to use 128 MB ram with a Blizzard 1230 board when using a rubber band, no big deal. Bye bye, trapdoor cover. I´d rather settle for less, and keep it intact. |

Also added a Micronik Zorro2 busboard to my list of Amiga stuff. Am thinking of getting a Mediator for the Micronik tower so I have no more use for the Zorro busboard :-)

@Effy
Just read that your "RARE" emulator kit only went for 2.5 EURO. As you say, that is ebay, but to be honest I think some of it can be because of your huge pictures. Yes, I have said it before and now I say it again. To be honest, whenever I see an auction from you, I don't even bother checking the item. I'm on 512/128, so the speed is good enough, but still it takes a bit to load, and I am that impatient. Why not reconsider the picture thing? I always scale the initial picture down, and then save the image under a new name so I have both sized pictures. You can see the examples in the links in my signature. Place the smaller picture in your auction, with a link to the larger image, and most will be satisfied. Those who would just like to see what it is about doesn't have to wait for long, and those that are interested in the item and its condition will click on the link to see a larger image. I truly believe that you will get more people looking at your auctions, and therefore more bidders. Heck, I would even have placed a bid for 10 EURO on the A2k Emulator kit, even though I haven't got an A2k :-) Just a thought anyway... |

Um, Effy.....
Do you sh!t amiga hardware or what??? :-? The reason I'm asking is I'm looking to eventually get an A1XE. If that's too big to 'produce', let me know, I could probably settle for a micro.

FWIW - I agree with the doc.. No offense to you Effy, or anyone.. But it is REALLY annoying to view the auctions becuase even sitting here at 1280x1024 on my PC I have to sit there and scroll across to read your text - On each line - scrolling down to read the next "cluster" of lines..
It's your world, your auction and of course ultimately you decision. But for people like me looking for stuff, I do find it irritating, and generally don't even bother. Offer your hi-res pics, but as "click for larger view" or whatever the ebay standard usually is.. Most auctions I hit up have their area of photos set up like that.. So if people want to see the "extra view" that you offer, they can still do so in the same hi-res offerings as you currently have. But at the same time, people who want to read the specs/stats what you have to say about your auction will not be turned off/discouraged.. Again, just an opinion. Just didn't want you to think the doc was the only one who felt that way. |

DoctorQ : Then this means that I can not use Opera to offer objects on Ebay because with Opera I have to place a url to where my image is on the net as I can not upload it like I can with Internet Explorer ... so it all comes down to what program I use ...
Methuselas : sorry, I don´t even have an A1 myself ...

Yeah that's the thing about bidding on effy's auctions. He is not responsible if you get aids from his Amiga items. ;-)

![]() Indeed. I should start looking through his toilet for an A500 with a hard drive expansion. I think we'd me more concerned about a 'brown' keyboard, than a yellow one.

Considering the size of an A500 you must have an elephant size toilet
