I just read a posting at our AmigaClub.be that Amiga4001 can´t get on this forum anymore with Ibrowse, only with Aweb but he also can´t post anymore like he wants to. Nothing has changed in his config, so what has changed ???
Ibrowse gives "bad request from your browser" ... Anybody got any bright ideas ??? :-?

@Effy
I got that once as well, even though nothing had changed in my setup or IBrowse settings. Tell him to replace the IBrowse executable, I seem to remember that this cleared my problem. Or was it a complete install? I think it is the first one. |

@Effy:
Flushing cache and removing cookies can also help. |

iBrowse and AWeb are too limiting for generally browsing anyway, IMHO.
I especially got annoyed with iBrowse when I lost the ability to browse https:// websites after installing YAM betas and the AmiSSL library needed to initiate secure POP3 connections due to the version of AmiSSL being incompatible with the one iBrowse depended on.. It's a mess and new version of iBrowse and/or AWeb are sorely needed but I seriously doubt either will come. Which isn't to say either aren't welcome ;-) |

@mattabat:
It's true, IBrowse and AWeb are outdated, but you can use them for most of sites. Maybe they look strange, but can be accessed. For example I can access every page I was able to access on my laptop PC, exception are the sites which need Java RE. What's more strange, the only site I can't access (no matter if I'm using IBrowse or Firefox) is http://www.morphzone.org/ |

Hi,
@mattabat > It's a mess and new version of iBrowse and/or AWeb are sorely needed but I seriously doubt either will come. AWeb is Open-Source. Enter the team that develops the browser and you can help them make the browser up-to-date :-) The current version of AWeb is now 3.5 but I just switched back to AWeb 3.4 today, because I wasn't able to read this forum any more :-( But the server this forum is running on must have been changed, AWeb 3.5 worked fine for me the last 4 month. I've had the same problem with IB2.3 here as well for the past 2 months or so.
When viewing a thread with IB you get a response: Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit. Never looked into it further as I figured it was maybe something I'd messed up without knowing. So having to post this using Voyager 3 :-x If you find the solution to fixing whatever's causing the problem, can you let me know?? |

Hi,
I've had this message a few times myself, and as lordspider already said, removing the cookies from www.amiga.org with the cookie manager cured it. Don't know what's causing it though. Greetings, Lloyd |

mattabat:hmm i use latest YAM (daily updates) and i use ibrowse and i have amissl 1+2 installed at all times, not a problem for me at all and also i can use aweb ssl aswell as epistula (which needs amissl1.x whilst ibrowse needs amissl2.x)
cheers ps:aweb was updated a few weeks ago (regular updates), check the website and ib2.4 is comming soon.

As a first point of call, I would suggest taking a look at your cookies - if you have tons for amiga.org, delete them. Likewise, any rubbish you can see in there, it would be worth deleting too.
