Default VarIO, Hypercom etc etc

Has anyone used these high speed thingymajigs? My amiga seems to slow right down when printing pictures, would a faster Parallel port help matters, or would I be better off buying a USB card, like the Algor? I'm using Turboprint 7.60 with an Epson Stylus C62

Got me a hypercom4z in my system A4000(060/604e) voodoo3 etc..
It usese the spooling included with the turboprintpackage.
It doesn't slow down but it isn't really faster.
I never looked into the settings I must say I am using the serial port of the hypercom for a serial mouse and that is working 100%.
As I am not so into printing I never looked deeply into that.

Default Re: VarIO, Hypercom etc etc

I had the chance to compare print speed on VarIO parallel port and USB (Algor) with an Epson Stylus C80 printer on my amiga (see my sig), I'd say the speed is around the same if not the USB is a bit faster.. I'd go the USB way for its functionality and the posibilities Poseidon USB stack offers.

Regards,

D.
