Default change Ram, Trashcan, floppy icons in OS3.9
Have installed magnificent Power Icons on my A4000 and changed most of my icons to png icons but don't know how to change he icn for my ram disk, Trashcan and other standard icons like floppy and cd-rom.
Cn anyone please explain how to change those icons?

Those are "_def" icons -- they're located in Sys:Prefs/Env-Archive/Sys

Actually, they're "def_xx" ;-)

xx being the name of the icon it is used for.

def_ram for ram disk
def_df0 for internal floppy
def_cdx cd drive (replace x with the unit number)
def_trashcan for trashcan

After changing the icons in SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive/Sys reboot to see the changes (or change the same icons in ENV.

Now to the next question:

How do I change the icons so I can have to different appearances, ex when I click on a floppy disk icon it opens...showing another variant of the icon.

PNG icons, doesn't have the 2nd image . . . pity :-)

Try this line for PowerIcons:

Run >NIL: PowerIcons SCROLLSPEEDUP NOGHOSTSELECT GHOST=100 SELR=96 SELG=80 SELB=80 TEXTMODE=2

or add NEGATIVE option (crap) for a super mega Special effect ;-)

I'm still using boring GlowIcons nicked from loads of different freebies on aminet. I never liked the new look stuff.
