Like so many before me, moving on.
« on: March 21, 2005, 10:05:24 PM »
Well it's been fun guys, at least until recently. My last shreds of interest have faded away over the last 6 months. I've become a bitter, pessimistic grump. No need to stick around for this. If you want to chat, I'll probably be hanging around in #c64friends on irc.eskimo.com a lot.

No grand fairwells or that sort of crap, not saying I'm never posting again. I'll just be fading out. Just spending much more of my time in a healthy vibrant platform community, the C64 community.

I will continue to stock Amiga items in the store until April 1st, after then just C64 related goods. I'm thinking about starting a C-One forum, if you're interested in helping start one up email me. I will probably post a message or 2 here in the coming ~week as I list off the last of my Amiga goods.

Thank you Wayne for giving me what had been my favorite website for the last 10 years, I have been reading since the early days. "Amiga! The definition of multimedia under Windows screwed it up!" Hope to see you soon on the new project.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

Please let this just be a temporary phase you are going through red.

You will be missed greatly.

@redrumloa

Red, hope you reconsider.  Take a week or two off, most of us probably do.  Heck, I took about 3-4 years off entirely after Amiga Format closed shop.  It really helps.  Just pack up a nice A3000 or A4000 in the closet (sans battery).  When the Amiga fever returns, you'll know it....that inexplicable rush when you first turn her on and hear that old familar 'click-click'.

Take care - Jason

Sad to see you go... again.  You'll be back.  The C64 scene got a nice boost lately with the 64DTV and C-One, but you still have to deal with morons like wildstar.

The Amiga and C64 scenes really aren't that different.  For instance, I complained about Maurice (CMDKEY) on usenet and got plenty of people bashing me, sending me hate-mail, etc. as well as responses from those in the same boat as I was.  It's just like saying something bad here or on AW about Eyetech, or Amiga, Inc.  For some reason people that have floated thousands of dollars to them feel they must ignore the facts and blindly support them.

Oh well...
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Hope to see you on a few other sites still red. Keep your Pegasos. Things are looking very bright for MorphOS and the Pegasos now. I'd love to see a C-One forum so I can learn more about them.

I hope you won't forget us, but I honestly know how you feel. There are a lot of days when I would very readily trade the entire kitandcaboodle for a good Canon Digital Rebel XT SLR camera kit like you see on eBay.

My interest in all of this is reaching it's end as well, but I would still hate to see you completely disappear.

Gobsmack overload.

You'll be missed very much.  Do remember to pop in now and then or I'll team up with Karlos to tell you all those groaners ;-)

Erk! Another cornerstone of AOrg leaves...

Boy, the situation concerning our machine MUST improve, otherwise, I will be the very last Amiga user on this sodding planet!!!

... OK, my Ammy is down at the moment, but still...

Respect, Redrumloa.
