Interesting...........and Finally!

I dont understand why They have UAE for the X-Box so fully implemented but not for the PS2???

The PS2 is in much more homes than the X-Box. Yeah the X-Box is slightly more powerfull.But Who cares?? as long as the PS2 emulates the Amiga Fully, then it doesnt matter.

Seeing as an XBox is essentially a PC the porting was hardly any effort. As soon as you get Linux on it you get UAE. Done!!! I would imagine that a PS2, with its own unique architecture has a few idiosyncracies which made it tougher. Its similar to porting UAE to the AmigaOne only....I wonder if they got JIT compiliation working on the PS2 as apparently that isn't on the AmigaOne version...Probably not you know so it wont be as good as XBox's.

Ok. Going back to my happy place now. :spy

Doubt it, UAE's JIT is x86-32 only.

this version for ps2 is the first release, wait for updates and upgrades (optimitation codes, more feactures, etc) but i test it and work great but need a lot of optimitation for nexts releases of this uae port, for example, for play games with sound enable it isn`t possible play it at full frame rate for the moment

:P

PS: ps2 emulator for amigaone? :P

You should see the Dreamcast version of UAE, called UAE4ALL...slow, slow slow.

I would love to use my PS2 as a CD32 console. All the buttons of the CD32 are on the PS2 Joypad already, so it would be very great to play CD32 games only. :-)

Did anyone compare this with the other UAE for PS2 Linux that came out last year? It was capable of running some games (with correct sound settings, frameskip, etc.) at full speed.
