Forgive me for asking this question, but can you remove the 68040 out of an A3640 and mount a 68060 instead ?? Assuming of course you change the voltage regulators ... it´s probably not possible but I´asking anyway ...

Despitting all other circunstances, the 060 had another round of pins, one more, than 040. So at first you can plug it because not all the pins of the 060 are in contact with the 3640 |

Hmm I don't think a 060 on a A3640 would make sense at all.. It would be slowed down a lot due to the lack of onboard fast ram..
